Without joining these two great organizations, as I have, you can still support their many charitable campaigns, both locally and globally.
The Golden Lions Club, once again, is raffling off a new Harley-Davidson Road King motorcycle, which is on display at the Buffalo Rose Saloon in downtown Golden. Only 300 tickets are being sold at $100 each. The drawing is Oct. 29 at 8 pm. The club will pay the sales tax. To buy a ticket, call Ed Dorsey at 303-829-5195. Meanwhile, it’s time to order Palisade peaches from the Golden Rotary Club! You can order boxes at $37 each online at www.GoldenRotaryPeaches.org. You can also buy them in person at our office (right). The boxes weigh 20 lbs. and contain about 40 peaches. Pickup is on Saturday, Aug. 27, 8 am to 2 pm at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. If you forget, you’ll get a phone call, and I can hold your boxes at the Golden Real Estate office, 17695 S. Golden Road.
